Natural marble — the most demanding and rewarding choice

Calacatta, Statuario, Saint Laurent, Alabastino — these are the stones that define a luxury interior. But marble is also the most technically demanding material a renovation team will handle. It requires perfectly flat, vibration-free substrates. It requires specific flexible adhesives with very low movement. And it requires installation teams who understand how to manage veining continuity across large-format slabs without losing the material’s visual logic.

At Realta Constructions, our marble and large-format tile specialists have worked exclusively with these materials for years. The result is a standard of finish — perfect mitre joints, consistent grout lines, continuous veining — that is not achievable by generalist teams brought in project by project.

Large-format porcelain — precision at scale

Porcelain slabs in formats like 160×320 cm (as used in the QSJ project) are extraordinarily demanding to install. They require power-assisted handling equipment, millimetric substrate levelling and the capacity to cut, inglete and detail within tolerances of under 1mm. A single installation error on a 6mm slab means a visible crack or hollow — both of which are unacceptable in a luxury context.

Zellige — artisanal precision in wet environments

Zellige is one of the most visually striking materials available, but it is also uniquely challenging. Its handmade nature means each piece has dimensional variation that must be absorbed into the layout. In spa and jacuzzi environments — where thermal cycling creates constant substrate movement — the adhesive system and grout selection are critical to preventing tile lift after the first year.
